the anticipated building of 244 houses by the new builder, Mr. Willits.
I would further like to report that Bill Deutsch has been
in Tampa today and is still working on getting the Recreation Areas,
playgrounds, etc. just as soon as he can. We will continue working on
this.

At this point in the meeting Mr. Jackson acknowledged the visitors and
asked if they had anything they wanted to discuss.
--
General discussions were had on the following items - but
nothing of a definite nature was decided - and no formal motions were
made:
1. Mr. G. W. Pettit, of 30 S. Cortez Ave., complained of
there being numerous dogs in his area that in his opinion were a general
nuisance and he inquired as to the possibility of a Village Ordinance
to be passed to compel dog-OWllers to leash or fence their dogs. WHERE-
UPON, Mr. Robert E. Johnson of the Sanford Humane Society informed him.
that a newly organized group in Sanford would assist in. picld.ng l1p
stray dogs. The faet was brought out that Seminole County did ~
have such an Ordinance.
2. Mr. Donald Ford,18l Cortez Drive, opened a general dis-
cussion on the subject of a volunteer Fire DepLrtment. He wanted to
mOW' also about the location in which he lives coming into the Village
Limits and North Orlando. Mr. Fasula stated he would get prices on
fire-fighting equipment. Mr. Jackson told Mr. Ford that if 51% of the
residents in his area would sign a petition to come into the Village
of North Orlando that they would be accepted. Mr. Jackson further
stated that he realized the importance of the issue of the Volunteer
Fire Department and would follow up on this item. The matter of a
reduction in home-owners insurance after the organizing of the Volun-
teer Fire Deplrtment vas also discussed.

the Chair will entertain a motion that we adjoun.
