HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959 10 06 Village Council Regular Minutes PROCEEDINGS AT COD1rCIL MEETING VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA SEMINOL COUNTY , OCTOBER 6, 1959 at 8:00 O'CLOCK The meeting was called to order by Mayor Liddicott. Roll call was made by the Villa.g" Clerrk. In attendance were Messrs. Liddicott, Jackson, Fasula, Terebo, and Webster. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Village Clerk. Ma;)'or tiddicott asked for any corrections or addttions - hearing none - tney were approved as read. MAYOR L-LIDDICOTT: Gentlemen, is there any new business? ~<R. JACKSON: !May I have- the floor? I would like to pass among you copy of the new Bu:i.l<3ing F~rmi t Cards which will be placed on the building site, aJso copy of ftpproval Cards and Condemned Cards. MR. JACKSON: Has there been anything setup on a s~rstem to be used for these permits? MR LIDICOTT: This matter is nOt,J;} 1,lP for discussion. MR ,JACKSON: The Building Permit charge has already been established at $15.00. I would like to recommend a $5..00 charge for the Electrical Permit and a $5.00 charge for tIle Plumbing Permit. MR. FASUIA: I understand the County charges $6.00 for these permits. MR WEBSTER, I feel we should charge the same as the County. MR LIDDICOT do I hear a motion on this MR WEBSTER I move that we charge $6.00 for our Electrical Permit and $6.00 for our Plumbing Permit. MR FASUIA: I second that motion. MR. LIDDICOl'T: It has been regularly moved and seconded that $6.00 be charged. A.ll those in favor signify by the usual sign of aye. ft.ll those opposed? Hearing none - the ayes have it and it is so ordered. MR WEBSTER: I make a motion that we accept. and approve the printed forms of permits, etc. as presented by Mr. Jackson. MR.. FASUU,: I second this motion. MR. LIDDICOTT: It has been regularly moved and seconded that t.hese forms be accepted. AIl those in favor signify by the usual sign of aye. All those opposed? Hearing none - the ayes have it and it is so ordered. MR. LIDDICOTT: Any other business, Gentl~men? MR. LIDDICOTT~ I have a request by the North Orlando Company to have Sections 11 and 12 zoned for single family houses to be taken into the Village of North Orlando. I find that tl~se plots have been approved by t~ Village Engineer, Mr. J. Gex Williams, and approved by the Chairman of the Zoning Commission, Mr.. Robert G. Hammond. ~~Whereupon Mr. Liddicott passed the blueprints of these two ~ections to the council members for their viewing. Mr. LIDDICOTT: The Chair will entertain a motion. Mr. TEREBO: I move that these two Sections be taken into the Village of North Orlando. Mr. FASUIA: I second this motion. Mr.LIDDICOTT: It has been regularly moved and seconded that these Sectj.ons 11 and 12 be taken tnto the Village of North Orlando. All those in favor signify by the usual sign of aye. All those opposed? Hearing none - the ayes have it a.nd it is so ordered. Mr. Liddicott: Any further business? - Mr Jackson: I have been in communication with the Village Attorney who is working on a Criminal Code and he expects to have it by the next meeting of the Village Council at whi ch time I hope we can have it for a first reading as it will become an Ordinance. MR. LIDDICOTT: Any further business? Mr. Liddicott: There being none, I will entertain a motion that the meeting adjourn. Mr. Fasula: I make a motion that we adjourn. Mr Turebo I second this.
