HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998 09 15 Tuscawilla lighting and Beautification District Advisory Committee Regular Minutes REGULAR MEETING TUSCAWILLA LIGHTING AND BEAUTIFICATION DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE SEPTEMBER 15, 1998 The regular meeting of the Tuscawilla Lighting and Beautification District Advisory Committee was called to order by Chairman Gilmore at 7:09 p.m. BOARD MEMBERS: Donald A. Gilmore, Chairman, present Gary Hillery, Vice-Chairman, present Moti Khemlani, present George Morris, present Linda Tillis, present ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Ronald W. McLemore Utility/Public Works Director Kipton Lockcuff Landscape Management Consultant Kangee Graham II. REGULAR AGENDA Chairman Gilmore told the Board about the presentation to the Tuscawilla Women's Club. Chairman Gilmore asked about finding an Architect. Ms. Graham said she had talked to Manager McLemore about it. Chairman Gilmore said that he had spoken to Brian Canin with Canin Associates about doing the job and that the company was too busy at this time and will be recommending 3 other Architects. A. Discussion with a Representative from Florida Power Chairman Gilmore asked Keith Hulbert introduce his group. Mr. Hulbert introduced Jaime Sed a and Brad Wilkinson. A letter was passed out to the Board that was written to Manager McLemore from Mr. Seda consisting of lighting prices. Discussion on the projects Florida Power has done similar to the Beautification District. Discussion ensued concerning the options the Board has for the lighting. It was decided that Florida Power will get to the Board by next Tuesday a list of prices for the poles and fixtures to be decided on by the Board. The Board will then decide the 3 options they think best and will turn those into Florida Power for the final figures. Motion by Chairman Gilmore to close the meeting. Seconded by Board Member Morris. Vote: All aye. Motion passes. Meeting adjourned at 8:59 p.m. Respectfully Submitted, Amy Lovingfoss Clerk
