Kenneth McIntosh, agent for Imlltiple owners, was there to speak for the
request. The property is composed of most of the lots in an unrecorded
subdivision known as Pines of Tuscawilla. Only two parcels at the northeast
corner are not included at this time. Koch advised she has been contacted by
the agent for one of these lots and told they were considering annexing as
well.
Saporito asked about the buildings seen on aerial photographs shown by the
applicant. There are a number of homes, a barn, and separate garages existing
on the property.
Saporito asked about the expressway. McIntosh stated that the owners are aware
of the expressway reservation legislation that is in force and that it is not
discouraging to them. The owners desire to annex into the Ci ty of Winter
Springs in order to receive municipal services and to become part of an orderly
growing communi ty .
Koch stated that she spoke with the Director of the Expressway Authority and he
has no objection with this annexation at all. The R-O-W map is officially
recorded wi th the court, it is not owned by the expressway but is reserved
subject to negotiation.
Hopkins asked about the access and service. Koch stated that the access is
from 434. Staff has reviewed the proposal and has no problem with this
annexation.
Torcaso asked if there was a problem with the County on this annexation. Koch
stated that there is no reason for a problem; the City has done everything that
the Law requires and has sent the County an inter-local notice form.
