Planning and Zoning Board Meeting
Minutes
Wednesday, July 25, 1984
7:30 P.M.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by DeFazio.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF JUNE 13, 1984
DeFazio moved to approve minutes as submitted. Joshi second. Vote: All aye. Motion carries.
Minutes approved as submitted.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Smedley opened the floor for nominations for Chairman.
Hall second. There were no other nominations. Vote:
DeFazio nominated Robert Smedley.
All aye. Motion carries.
Smedley opened the floor for nominations for Vice-Chairman. Hall nominated Taru Joshi.
DeFazio second. There were no other nominations. Vote: All aye. Motion carries.
PRELIMINARY PLAN OF FAIRWAY CLUB CONDOMINIUMS LOCATED ON NORTHERN WAY ADJACENT TO FAIRWAY
OAKS IN TUSCAWILLA.
McKenna presentation. Applicant and representatives for the applicant listed below gave
their presentation. Terry Rice, Imara Const. Co.; Keith Novak, Life Scopes Inc.; Mark
Woodbury, Fugleberg Koch Assoc.; Govind M. Chaudhari, Dynamic Testing & Engineering, Inc.
The Board addressed the applicant and representatives. DeFazio questioned the drainage
easement. Hoffmann questioned the City Planner in reference to the previous zoaing of the
land in question. City Planner advised Mr. Hoffmann the zoning has always been multi-family
residential, the highest density allowed in that area is 12 units per acre. Smedley questioned
the parking and recreational facilities for the development.
Chairman Smedley opened the floor for comments from the audience. The following residents
came forward to speak in opposition. Mr. Dorman, 1111 Northern Way; Troy Todd, 1127 Northern
Way; George Weigel, Northern Way; Tom Freeman, 900 Dyson Dr.; Jay Nelson, 1109 Northern Way;
Tony Tiano, 1236 Royal Oak Circle; John Gapton, 1113 Northern Way; Joe Gleason, 1121 Northern
Way; Mrs. Walden, Dyson Dr.; Ralph Zarra, Fairway Oaks; Becker, Oxbow Ln. Fairway Oaks.
Meeting was recessed to attend to an emergency in the audience.
Chairman Smedley reconvened the meeting.

Hall moved to table the request until the meeting
All aye. Motion carries.
DeFazio moved to keep the meeting time at 7:30 P.M. and the second and fourth Wednesday of
each month. Joshi second. Vote: All aye. Motion carries.
Meeting adjourned at 8:55 P.M.
