Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Kaehler. ROLL CALL John Hatfield,Chairman,present Cindy Kaehler,Vice-Chairman,present Richard DeFazio,late Taru Joshi,present Robert Smedley,present CITY OFFICIALS Jacqueline Koch, City Planner APPROVAL OF MINUTES OCTOBER 12, 1983 Joshi moved to approve the minutes. Hatfield seconded. Smedley amended minutes to read the original motion was reconsidered. Vote: All aye. DeFazio amended minutes to read his concerns were recreation facility for small children and proper speed controls, such as speed bumps should be installed. Vote: All aye. Motion carries. Minutes approved as amended. Chairman Hatfield reported the results of the Commission meeting in reference to the project Casa Park Villas in Tuscawilla. REQUEST OF U.S. HOME CORPORATION TO REZONE 42 ACRES ON S.R. 419 FROM R-T TO R-3 (LOTS 26 and 27, BLOCK D, D. R. MITCHELL SURVEY. Koch presentation. Discussion. Kaehler moved to approve the rezoning of 42 acres from R-T to R-3 Lot 26 and Lot 27, Block D, D. R. Mitchell Survey. Joshi seconded. Discussion. Koch advised that Board that it is necessary to make the statement that the request is in accordance with the approved future land use map of the City, so requires no amendment. Kaehler amended the motion to include Koch's recommendation and also to change the wording to read moved to recommend approval by the Commission. Vote: All aye. Motion carries. Chairman Hatfield adjouned the regular meeting at 8:08 PM. WORKSHOP The Board reviewed the proposed map showing application of the revised commercial zoning categories to lands already in the City and those expected to be annexed. Consensus was reached to recommend against expansion of the City north of Spring Hammock, to propose deannexation of the remote, small parcel at US 17-92 and SR 419, and to zone at R-U all land below elevation 20 feet NGVD along Lake Jessup.
