The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hatfield, and Richard DeFazio led in the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL: John Hatfield-Chairman, present Cindy Kaehler-Vice Chairman, present Richard DeFazio, present Taru Joshi, present Robert Smedley, present CITY OFFICIALS: Jacqueline Koch; City Planner Hatfield welcomed Taru Joshi and Robert Smedley to the Board. Motion was made by Kaehler and seconded by Hatfield to approve the minutes of February 16, 1983. Vote; all aye, motion carried. Motion was made by Kaehler and seconded by DeFazio to approve the minutes of February 22, 1983. Vote; all aye, motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m. and the Board went into the Workshop session on the continuation of the zoning code revision. There were 12 people in the audience. Ms. Koch made a review presentation on the zoning revisions. The following spoke on the reVlSlons: John Baldwin, commercial property owner and resident; Cliff Jordan, commercial property owner and realtor; Mike Sprouse, commerial property owner; Jim Hartman, resident. Discussion. Hatfield recommended to Ms. Koch to obtain in writing the comments of the Department of Transportation regarding current and future plans for S.R. 419 made during the background work on the pending annexations. Discussion. Discussion on Charts C-S and C-G. Discussion on the Charts wording. Next meeting was scheduled for March 16, 1983 as a Workshop on the Discussion by the Board members on the language of the revisions. adjourned and the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board zoning revisions. The 'I--Jorkshop was was reconvened. Kaehler made a formal recommendation for the City Commission to look into the section of the Code Book that deals with automatic removal of members of an appointed Board. Kaehler went on to state that the three absences referred to in this section are nonjustifiable within a 12 month period. Discussion, clarification on this section by Commissioner Hartman. Kaehler made a motion that the Planning and Zoning Board formally request the section of the Code Book that requires automatic dismissal of appointed Board members for three absences during a twelve month period be revised. Seconded by Joshi. Discussion. Motion amended by Kaehler to state that the Commission look into revising the section of the code book that deals with automatic removal of members of an appointed Board in order to obtain more flexibility in the number of absences for automatic removal.
