ROLL CALL: cm OF,FICIALS: Cindy Kaehler, absent George Kaplan, present John Hatfield, present Leanne Grove ~ present Richard D2Fazio, present Jacqueline Koch, City Plarmer Chainmn George Kaplan welcomed John Hatfield and Richard D2Fazio to the Planning and Zoning Board. John Hatfield roved to approve the minu~es of July 7, 1982. Seconded for discussion by Leanne Grove. Discussion: Vote. All aye. fllotion carried. Chairman Kaplan open the continued Public Hearing on the Corrprehensi ve Plan of the City of Winter Springs Evaluation and Appraisal Report - 1982 _ Part II. The topics to be considered at this Hearing are those elements contained in Part II of . the Report: The Social and COIl1J:1Ercial Development of the City, including Population Growth, Government, Public Services, Intergovernmental Coonlination, Recreation, Economic Growth, Community Design, and the Future Land Use :Map. In addition, recoIl1J:1Endations concerning the next five years of growth of the City are included in this report. The City Plarmer was present to answer any questions. Richard DeFazio inquired as under Element of Public Servioes, 2nd page, 3rd paragraph. Currently the City bas a Police Annex, Fire Station, and a Public Works Compound on Moss Road the site of the proposed rmmicipal armex. The proposal as stated in the Plan is to build additional buildings on the same site. Mr. DeFazio suggest that this site currently under consideration for the municipal complex be developed entirely for offices and the City look for another location for the Public Works Compound, preferably in C-2. This I^laS the general census of the Board. The City Planner stated that currently the City has no other land available. Discussion. No further corrments on the Plan was brought forth. Chairman Kaplan entertained the IIDtion to transrnitt the Elements listed in Part II of the Comprehensive Plan to the Corrrrnission, with the inclusion that the current site under consideration for the municipal complex be developed entirely for offices and that the City consider another location for the Public Works Compound. Seconded by John Hatfield. Discussion. Vote. All aye. IVbtion carried. . Cha.:i.rrIan Kaplan closed the Public Hearing at approximately 7 :45 P. M. A workshop on land Use Density followed in which the lowering of the land use density was discussed. The workshop was adj ourned at approximately 8: 20 P.
