REQUEST OF EIJEN ERICKSON FOR APPROVAL OF HOME OCCUPATION IDCATION.
The City Planner advised the Board that the applicant lives in an R-l
neighborhood, in which the Code allows home occupations with approval of the
Board of the location.
Mr>s. Erickson requested approval of the location of 209 Bermet st. for a
home occupation as a seamstress/tailor. She had previously been advised of
the requirements of Section 44.24(27) of the Zoning Code, limiting a home
occupation to no rore than 20 percent of the floer space of the house,
limiting the activities to those not visible from the exterior, and allowing
only one sign placed on the front door no rore than two square feet in size.
The applicant assured the Board that her proposed home occupation would meet
these criteria.
Grove questioned the amount of traffic that would be generated by the busi-
ness. Mr:>s. Erickson indicated clients would call mainly by appointment, so
that normally there would be no rore than one extra car at the house.
Poole roved to approve the request of Ellen Erickson for approval of home
occupation as seamstress/tailor in zone R-l at 209 Bermet St. Seconded by
Grove. Vote: All aye. Motion carried.
Fusco and Dixon advised that they could not attend a July 1 meeting if one
is necessary.

to the Board, so that this would be his last meeting. Vice-Chairman Poole
will preside July 1 if that meeting takes place.
