HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981 03 04 Planning and Zoning Board Regular Minutes PLANNING & ZONING BOARD J.VJEETING CITY OF WINIER SPRINGS MARCH 4, 1981 IVeeting of the Planning and Zoning Board was called to order at 7: 35 p.m. by Chairman Jerry Fusco. The pledge of allegiance was led by Joel Weiss. ROLL CALL City Officials: Joel Weiss, present lDuise Poole, present Jerry Fusco, present Robert Dixon, absent Glen Burford, absent Jacqueline Koch Motion was made by Weiss to approve the minutes of February 18, 1981. Seconded by Poole. Vote: All aye. Motion carried. REQUEST OF JOHNSTON, CONSTANTlNE, .AND BROCK TO REZONE LarS 15, 16, .AND 17 OF BLOCK 8 OF NORI'H ORLANOO 'IDWNSI'IE 4TH ADDTIION FROM R-l 'ID C-l (SHERRY AVENUE NORI'H OF S. R. 434). The City Planner presented the request. She stated the existence of the shopping center with the traffic coming in front of the driveway has changed the character of the property to where it is no longer suitable for residential. There was discussion on a buffer. The City Planner stated this would be covered under the Site Plan Review. Weiss moved to aprove the request of Johnston, Constantine, and Brock to rezone lDts 15, 16, and 17 of Block 8 of North Orlando Townsite 4th Addition from R-l to C-l. Seconded by Poole. Vote: All aye. Motion carried. Poole moved to amend the land Use Plan to reflect the rezoning of lDts 15, 16, and 17 of Block 8 of North Orlando Townsite 4th Addition from Medium Density Residential to Corrnnercial. Seconded by Weiss. Vote: All aye. Motion carried. REQUEST OF CHEMICAL ENTERPRISES TO REZONE THAT PARr OF LOr 13 NORI'H OF S.R. 419 FROM C-l TO C-2 (OPPOSI'IE EroEMON AVE.) The City Planner presented the request. There was discussion on the traffic and the surrounding zoning. Weiss moved to grant the request of Chemical Enterprises to rezone that part of lDt 13 north of S.R. 419 from C-l to C-2. Seconded by Poole. Vote: All aye. Motion carried. Poole moved to amend the land Use Map to reflect the rezoning of that part of the property from S.R. 419 to the railroad tracks from corrnnercial to industrial. Seconded by Weiss. Vote: All aye.
