HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979 04 18 Planning and Zoning Board Regular Minutes /..., -.., ~ ..-.- MINtJrES PLANNING AND ZONIN G BOARD CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS APRIL 18, 1979 Meeting was called to order by Chairman Fusco at 7:35 p. m. The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Mr. Monson. Roll Call: George Shriver, present Ed Lombardi, absent Mary Williamson, absent Herb Monson, present Jerry Fusco, Chairman, present David Branson, present Motion by Monson, seconded by Branson to approve the minutes of April 4, 1979. Motion carried. Mr. Charles True presented preliminary plan on Section 9 Tuscawilla. Motion by Monson, seconded by Branson to recommend approval of preliminary plan of Tuscawilla Unit 9 in accordance with the Engineer's report of April 12, CD&A Job No. 6136.05 and Staff Review of April 17th. Motion passed unanimously. f"" The following individuals appeared before the Planning & Zoning Board: Laurent Pellerin Jr., The Binford property Mr. Boerner, The Binford property Mayor Piland, CLUP & Zoning correlation Mr. Bessesen, The Binford property Mrs. Bessesen, The Binford property Rob Russell, Real Estate One, Crooked Creek Bill Jacobs, Council's request Mayor Piland explained to the Board that he understood Mr. Stalnaker to have an opinion that we could very easily find ourselves in a contract zoning situation on the Binford property. Motion by Monson, seconded for discussion by George Shriver, that the Board recommend Mr. Binford's property be rezoned to a medium density residential classification. Motion failed. Motion by Fusco, seconded by Branson, to recommend to Council as we have previously recommended that a C-l classification be approved for the Binford property. Motion passed 3-1. Mr. Pellerin, Jr. stated that there was no opposition to the petition in the Umnediate area of the Binford Property - petition presented to the Planning & Zoning Board and included as part of the minutes. Put on agenda to work on recommendations for C-l zoning classifications. Motion by Shriver, seconded by Monson to table annexation request.
