Zoning Commissioner Hunter CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order by Chairperson Rossiter at 7:45 p.m. MINUTES: Minutes of the meeting of January 8 were approved as submitted. MRS. KAREN RALEY: Mrs. Raley appeared to ask the P&Z Board to approve the location of a "Notary Public" sign on her property. A Notary Public home-occupation busi- ness is permitted in an R-1 district, and the business is permitted to have one sign, the location of which must be approved by the P&Z Board. On a motion by Newsome, seconded by Cottage, the Board voted unanimously to approve the placement of the sign in the window of what originally was the garage -- that portion of the home at the end of the driveway. At the suggestion of Mr. Cottage for additional information to be provided to the Board in advance of the meeting in the case of future similar requests, the City Planner was asked to draft a Board policy concerning the handling and submission timetable of items to be brought before the Board. That document will be dis- cussed at the next meeting. LETTER FROM CITY ATTORNEY: The Board discussed the January 22 letter from City Attorney Massey which contained his comments on several points contained in the draft of a revised Pun ordinance. The Board decided to hold a workshop session for the benefit of the Mayor and Council on Thursday, February 19, to discuss the draft of the :Pun ordinance. The Planner was asked to send a memorandum to the Mayor and Council notifying them of the workshop and inviting their participation. They will be sent a copy of the draft of the Pun ordinance several days prior to the February 19 workshop. BOARD TIMETABLE: The Board will meet at 7:30 on Thursday, January 29. The next meeting will be at 7 :30 on Thursday, February 12, at which time the Board will conduct a final review of the Pun ordinance draft in preparation for the workshop. The Board will meet next at 7:30 on February 19 in a workshop session with the Mayor and Council. Newsome was asked to attend the February 2 Council meeting to extend an invitation, on behalf of the Board, to the M3.yor and Council to attend the Feb. 19 workshop.
