LeBlanc stated that this is to discuss the Site Plan for Storage WOrld II, the
engineering has been approved. The emergency gate on Fairfax Avenue is opaque,
and a sign that stated no parking/tCM away zone. Another issue that has been
resolved is the manager residence, the City Manager stated that the manager
could reside on the premises. He stated that the building would be compatible
wi th the area, and would the Staff consider stucco for the front wall.
Lockland stated that the hours of operation would be from 7: 00 A. M. until 8: 00
P.M., and the office will be open for new accounts from 9:00 A.M. until 6:00
P.M.
Koch asked about the elevation of the side wall. Reeves stated that it would
be 9 foot high. Koch asked if there would be any vertical lines and Reeves
stated that no there wouldn It, just the front and not the sides.
Govoruhk stated that the parking area be striPed white, they would need a stop
sign and stop bar. The stop bar is to be thermoplastic.
Taylor stated that the City will not be responsible if there are any problems
wi th the sewer line that goes beyond the manhole. Kozlov stated his concern
wi th the sewer lines under the buildings. He mentioned that he gave the
developer a chance to change the design, but the developer choose not to.
Koch asked about the construction of the decorative fence in the front of the
developnent; will it be open. Reeves stated that it will be open and the cars
will only be visible when parked in the driveway. The fence will be one inch
aluminum tubing and white in color, and the exterior is maintenance free.
Reeves stated that the roofs will be either textured asphalt or aluminum. Koch
stated that this needs to be specified so the City Conunission can verify this.
Reeves stated that the color scherne will be pink-beige with grey roofs with
white trim and stated it would not be offensive in color.
Smith moved to accept the project as presented. Seconded by Holzman. Vote:
all aye.
