PRESENT: Department Heads: Sam Smith, Peter Cowell, Chuck Hassler, John Govoruhk, Chuck Holzman Developers: Gerald McCall and Don Pflueger PROJECT ENGINEERING/FUNERAL HOME The funeral home proposed by Project Engineering was reviewed this morning and approved subject to the following conditions: 1. The Health Department and DER will have to send letters of approval for the crematory and the septic tanks. 2. The pump for the well must be relocated 100 feet or more away from the building. 3. The parking lot will be redesigned to allow for a cul-de-sac at the end and be paved in turf block rather than mulch to leave natural areas as much as possible. 4. An enclosed dumpster will be added to the site. 5. Street and parking lights will also be added to the design. 6. Presently there is no water for a fire hydrant. This will have to be developed before the final site review. 7. Due to all the driveways, the nursery, the funeral home and the new City Hall, DOT will need to specify road design for this area. Ingress, egress, islands, lights, and/or a slowing of the speed limit are all areas of concern. Chief Govoruhk should have this resolved Monday or Tuesday of next week. Vote: Hassler, aye; Holzman, aye; Govoruhk, aye; Cowell, aye; Smith, nay. Motion carries.
