PRESENT : Jack Cooper; City Engineer, Ron Emery; Superintendent of Public Works, Sam F. Smith Building Official, Chuck Holzman; Fire Chief, Charles Sexton; Police Department, Jacqueline Koch; City Plarmer. AMENDED SITE PLAN FOR FOES AUTO SALVAGE ON WADE STREET. The City Planner stated the request before the Board was from Harold Fues to expand the business currently operating on the east side of Wade Street, south of the Old Sanford-Oviedo Road. Mr. Fues does not own the property, but is currently leasing. He acquired the business from Tom McCue, who had also been leasing the property from the owner and had acquired the original limited site plan approval. Mr. McCue had stated he would eventually purchase the property outright and develop the site with permanent improvements. The business is the sale of used parts which are taken from the salvage vehicles on the property. The question was then brought up by the City Planner that if fltr. Fues is in- definitely leasing the property, what are his plans for construction to replace the un- improved driveway and parking areas and for stormwater disposal or retention on-site. JVlr. Fues stated he just wanted to put up a fence in order to expand the business and enclose rrore vehicles on portions of the property (not covered by the original approval); he said he did not understand the need for improvements to the property. Discussion. The City Engineer moved that the fence perrni t be granted providing that an engineered set of plans for use of the property be brought in and approved by the City, wi thin a period of six months or in the alternative the applicant receives a waiver from the proper Board in the City, for such a requirement. Seconded for discussion by the City Planner. City Plarmer proposed an amendment to require a 15 foot front setback wi thin which there will be no activity, in line with approvals of other sites in comnercial districts. Amendment accepted by the City Engineer. Vote. All aye, motion carried. R. esp..ectfullY s...U...bmitted,.! ,( 1 /' j~ ~~. ~.~ Sherry A. ielonka Recordi Secretary
