WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 18, 1982
11 :20 A. M.
PRESENT: John Govoruhk, Police Chief; Jacqueline Koch, City Plarmer; Chuck
Holzman, Fire Chief; Sam F . Smith, Building OfficiaL
AMEND]VENT TO APPROVED SITE PLAN OF MOSSWOOD AP ARI'MENTS. JVlr. Lynn Vezina,
Proj ect Plarmer with Cardinal Ihduptries, Inc. ~ . builders for Mosswood Apart-
ments, was present. The City Planner called the meeting to order. Jacqueline
Koch stated that Mosswoood Apartments are on South Moss Road, and the submitted
si te plan is to add one section (cube) to expand the manager's office.
Jacqueline Koch stated the setback is still 33 feet with 25 feet of this being
for the front, which is adequate. Mr. Vezina stated they intend to have a sign
indicating the rranager's office. Jacqueline Koch inquired if this would create
additional people and would the traffic be any greater than what it is now?
Mr. Vezina stated this would not create any additional people and could not
foresee it increasing the traffic flow. The City Plarmer stated if all the
current parking was solid, vistors might park in the entrance way, presenting
a safety hazard. (The apartments have a 2 to 1 parking ratio, which is the
minimum, 221 paved and 73 which is a grass area.) Discussion. Jacqueline
Koch explained that this is not taking into consideration the number per se
of the parking area, but the designation of where people should park. One or
two spaces marked lIvistors parkingll could preclude any unforeseen problems,
stated the City Plarmer, and would also preclude the possibility of any vistors
pulling up along side the road. rlJr. Vezina agreed to this.
Mr. Vezina stated there will be no utilities to this cube, just electric. The
type of lighting will be standard with the complex. This particular cube will
be an open space cube with 228 square feet externally. Jacqueline Koch inquired
of Chuck Holzman, Fire Chief on the exits. Mr. Vezina stated there were two
exits. Chuck Holzman stated he could not foresee any problems with the exits.
Jacqueline Koch asked if there were any addition comments.
Jacqueline Koch recommended to approve the amendment, with the condition parking
spaces be specified as lIvistors parking". Vote. All aye. Meeting was adjourned
at approximately 11: 30 a.m.
