HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982 03 02 Site Plan Review Board Meeting Minutes TELEPHONE (305) 327-1800 WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA ZIP CODE 32708 SITE PLAN REVIEW BOARD Minutes of March 2, 1982 The Site Plan Review Board Meeting was called to order by the City Planner at 11:00 a.m. Present were: Jack Cooper, City Engineer; Charles Holzman, Fire Chief; Ron Emery, Supt. of Public Works; John Govoruhk, Police Chief and Jacqueline Koch, City Planner. DETERMINATION OF COMPLIANCE OF GARY HUNT WITH ORDER OF CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD TO COMPLY WITH CONDITIONS ON APPROVAL GIVEN BY SITE PLAN REVIEW BOARD ON MARCH 6, 1980. A letter as well as a picture were submitted by Mr. Hunt to the City Planner on February 22, 1982. The City Planner stated the determination needed to be made as to whether or not Mr. Hunt had complied with the conditions set by the original approval of the site. The Board discussed the landscaping as well as the refurbishing of the building. The Fire Chief suggested a time frame for the completion of the work. The City Engineer stated there were stains that could be applied immediately and that the time element should not be a problem. The Board also felt there were plants that could be planted without regard to the weather. The City Planner felt two weeks were enough to complete the necessary work to comply with the approval. Thirty days was also suggested. Vote on the thirty days to complete the project: Police Chief, aye; City Engineer, aye; Public Works Supt., aye; Fire Chief, no; City Planner, no; motion passed to allow Mr. Hunt thirty days to complete the refurbishing and landscaping necessary to comply with the original approval of the Board and that no further extension would be allowable. In the event Mr. Hunt does not comply with the thirty days he will be cited for non- compliance to the Code Enforcement Board. EXTENSION OF SITE PLAN APPROVAL GRANTED TO TOM MC CUE FOR OPERATION OF SALVAGE BUSINESS WITH TEMPORARY OFFICE (NEW OWNER, HAROLD FUES, WAS GRANTED 18-MONTH EXTENSION FOR USE OF MOBILE BUILDING AS OFFICE). Mr. Harold Fues was present and stated he is primarily involved with used parts from auto/truck salvage and that he does not do any crushing on-site. Mr. Fues stated he had removed 125 derelict cars for the City in the past six months. The City Engineer asked about the lighting at night. Mr. Fues stated he has one light and a dog on the premises at all times. Mr. Fues has no plans at this time to change the site. The City Planner stated she could see no reason to require further conditions regarding the present plan. The City Engineer stated he did not feel it was necessary at this time to impose any conditions regarding the driveway at this time. It was the con- sensus of the Board to extend the original approval of a salvage business with temporary office (new owner, Harold Fues) for eighteen months. Mr. Site Plan Revie..
