COMMERCE & INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT BOARD
JANUARY 26, 1994
The meeting was called to order by Chainman Lup at 8:10 a.m.
BOARD MEMBERS:
Jim Lup, Chainman, Present
Mel Glic~n, Present
Walt Dittmer, Absent
Mac McGinnis, Present
Approval of Minutes of November 10, 1993:
Glickman moved to approve the minutes of November 10, 1993. Seconded by
McGinnis. Vote: All aye. Motion carried.
The Board discussed the coming meeting with the City Commission. The
sunshine law will be gone over for all City Boards and the commercial
development for the S.R. 434 corridor. Discussion.

Lup mentioned that he will have a letter for the Commission regarding the
proposed Ordinance 551 for that meeting. Lup said that he will be
requesting reimbursement for this Board and the assumption is that this
Board is being left out because the last thing we did regarding the payment;
we gave it up - we waived it altogether. Discussion.
Lup said the other thing we will be talking about is this Board's plan of
action. Lup gave the Board members a copy of a rough draft of an article,
he also mentioned that he didn't know when it will be published, but it will
be published in the Sanford Herald. Lup said that he received the copy from
Ken Peach who is the President of the Longwood/Winter Springs Chamber of
Commerce. Peach said he was asked by the Sanford Herald to write an article
about growth and that he contacted Lup for information from Winter Springs.
Lup said that FAXed a copy of the City's Brochure and also included some
notes which highlighted some of the things that were in the Brochure or
projects of the things that he knew that are to be developed.
Lup said at the last meeting we discussed future projects and the data base.
Glic~n asked if Lup has ever received any infonmation about requests from
the City for infonmation. Lup said that they will send me a copy of their
request; I've gotten one or two in the past year, I respond to them but I
never hear back.
Discussion regarding the joint meeting with the City Commission and the
other City Boards.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 a.m.
