M. by Cha i nnan Lup BOARD fwEt'BERS: Mayor Philip Kulbes, Absent Wa lt Dittmer, Present Gene Jones, Absent Roger OWen, Present Janet Helms, Absent Jim Lup, Cha i nnan, Present City Manager R. Rozansky, Absent Q--eg Kern, Acting City Planner ADDroval of Minutes of February 13. 1992: OWen rroved to approve the minutes of February 13, 1992. Seconded by Dittmer. Vote: All aye. Motion carried. . Old Business: a) Brochure UD-Date: Lup stated that he has dropped off the material to the printer, O"eative Printing, and the printer is to get back to him with a bid. He said that there are still items to be carpleted. He also mentioned that the printer said that it would be easier to use pictures for the brochure instead of the format that was discussed. The Board discussed us i ng pictures and were all in agreement. There was discussion on rroney to hire a professional photographer. Dittmer mentioned Bob Braun, and Lup stated that he would contact him and get a price for his services. There was discussion on money allocated to the Board. Kern stated that Mayor Ku1bes said that the Board has $3,000 which is allocated to them for the brochure. The Board decided to use pictures that highlights the City such as City Hall, Central Winds Park, the Senior Center, the Post Office, Winter Springs Industrial Park, Seminole Camunity College, the entrance to Tuscawi 11a, the elementary school under construction, the Rendering Plant and various other sites in the City. The Board decided to have different sites photographed and wi 11 choose fram those for the brochure. . New Business: a) Discussion on Small Business ExDO Booth: There was discussion on the practical ity of a booth at the Small Business Expo be i ng he 1 din Or 1 ando on May 12th through May 14th. Kern stated that he race i ved info on the Expo and the appl i cat ion to attend needed to be in by April 1st and the fee was $695.00. The Board decided that as it is past the deadline to apply and the cost, they wou 1 d not get a booth at th i s year' s Expo. ---J -~. . . . Cannerce & Industry Deve10pnent Board Apri 1 9, 1992 Page 2 Lup stated that the Board will revisit the subject of the Small Business Expo again in the Fall for next year's Expo, and by that time the City's brochure will be caTp1eted and the Board wi 11 have sanething to show.
