The meeting was called to order by Chainman Lup at 4:10 P.M. ROLL CALL: Mayor Philip A. Kulbes, Absent Jim Lup, Chairman, Present Gene Jones, Present Walt Dittmer, Present City Manager Richard Rozansky, Absent Janet Helms, Present Roger OWen, Present G. Kern, Administrative Assistant Approval of Minutes of November 14. 1991: Jones moved to approve the minutes of November 14, 1991. Seconded by OWen. Vote: All aye. Motion carried. Old Business: a) Brochure Up-Date. b) Schedule Brochure Workshop: Lup stated that he has samples of brochures for the Board to look at to give them ideas as to the fonmat for the City's brochure. He also stated that the Board needs to decide on a completion date, and mentioned that the Board has been working on the brochure since 1990. Lup stated that he has met with a few people fran the Econanic Developnent Committee and has scheduled two people fran that committee to cane and talk to this Board at the next meeting. . The Board discussed having a workshop to develop the rough draft of the brochure. The Board set a workshop for January 30, 1992, at 1:00 P.M. Lup mentioned that he has met with the film coordinator for movies and asked if the City of Winter Springs had a one stop permitting. Lup said that he didn't think the City had a one stop permitting and the coordinator stated that the City should because maybe sane movies could be filmed in the City. Lup stated that he will be receiving sane infonmation fran the coordinator as to the coordination they have with other cities. New Business: a) Discussion and Plannin~ of 1992 Plan of Work/A~enda: There was discussion as to a completion date for the brochure. The Board agreed to try to have the brochure completed by the end of March 1992. Lup stated that he has a rough draft for the plan of work for the caning year one being the completion of the brochure. Second: Create and maintain a data base/inventory of industrial warehouses and existing buildings and available land. Third: Create and implement a program to monitor and service the needs of existing businesses. Fourth: Create a marketing plan for new businesses. Lup mentioned that there is a Florida Econanic Developnent Workshop held in Tallahassee in June. This is a three or four day workshop on how to implement meeting the needs of existing businesses and servicing them. He said that he was going to find out more about this and if it would benefit this Board he would approach the City with the idea of sending the Board. .
