REQUEST:
The City Manager requesting the City Commission to adopt Resolution
Number 904 authorizing the Holiday Schedule for the calendar year 2000.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Agenda Item is for the City Commission to authorize
the calendar year 2000 Holiday Schedule.
CONSIDERATIONS:
Pursuant to the City's Personnel Policy, the City Commission has
authorized ten (10) paid holidays per year.
In 1999, New Year's Day falls on a Saturday.
Most surrounding Cities, as well as the Seminole County Offices, will be
closed on Friday, December 31, 1999. Several Financial Institutions are
planning to be closed for partial days on Friday, December 31, 1999.
Staff agrees that Friday, December 31, 1999 would be an appropriate day
to be closed to celebrate the New Year.
The City Offices being closed on Friday, December 31, 1999 still
maintains the authorized ten (10) paid holidays per year.
