1989. Seconded by Mayor Grove. Vote: all ayes; motion carried.
Chairman Smith said that she had a meeting with Bob Lewis, the Executive Director
of the Chamber, and they are very anxious to work with us on this. She stated that
we should be thinking about a nice cover design for the brochure and the inserts
that can be taken out. Discussion.
Chairman Smith said Mr. Lewis gave her a video tape of Seminole County.
Chairman Smith said she received a call from Mr. Moti Khemlani, president of the
Tuscawilla Homeowners Association, and that they are very concerned what this Board
is going to do. At the next meeting of the Tuscawilla Homeowners Association which
is scheduled for April 6, 1989 at the Keeth Elementary School at 8:00 p.m. Chairman
Smith said she would attend to answer any questions they may have, and listen to what
they have to say. Dr. Fickett also offered to attend.
On the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, Chairman Smith said the Board will be waiting
for word from the Planning & Zoning Board when they have reached the point of
getting on with the new plan. Then our plans will have to coincide with theirs,
and we will have to have representation at each of those meetings. Miss Koch is
going to be giving this Board the demographics of Winter Springs as it is right now,
and from that we can "springboard" our brochure.
Dr. Fickett asked the status of the proposed commercial zoning code and Manager
Rozansky said he thinks the Commission intends to bring it up again.
The next meeting will be March 9th at 4:00 p.m. Chairman Smith said she could bring
her VCR to review the tape of Seminole County.
Manager Rozansky suggested having a meeting with the Chamber's Commerce and Industry
Board.
Meeting adjourned at 4:40 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary Norton,
City Clerk
