CALL TO ORDER Committee Member Lorie Taylor called the Regular Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2001 in the East Conference Room of the Municipal Building (City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708). Roll Call Chairman Thomas Helgeson, absent Committee Member Louise Allen, present Committee Member Paul Krebs, present Committee Mike Masters, present Committee Member Lorie Taylor, present II. CONSENT CONSENT A. Approval Of The August 9, 2001 Regular Meeting Minutes. MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER ALLEN. "I'LL MAKE A MOTION TO ACCEPT THE CONSENT AGENDA." SECONDED BY COMMITTEE MEMBER KREBS. DISCUSSION. WITH CONSENSUS OF THE COMMITTEE THE MOTION WAS APPROVED. MOTION CARRIED.. III. REGULAR AGENDA REGULAR A. Elections. "I'LL MAKE A MOTION TO T ABLE THE ELECTIONS UNTIL NEXT MONTH." MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER KREBS. SECONDED BY COMMITTEE MEMBER ALLEN. DISCUSSION. WITH CONSENSUS OF THE COMMITTEE THE MOTION WAS APPROVED. MOTION CARRIED.: CITY OF WrNTER SPRINGS MINUTES OAK FOREST WALL AND BEAUTIFICATION DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING - SEPTEMBER 13,2001 PAGE 2 OF 3 REGULAR B. Medallion. Mr. Kipton Lockcuff, P.E., Director, Public WorkslUtility Department reported that the medallions, gates and the wrought iron grill should be installed in three (3) weeks. Discussion. REGULAR C. Maintenance Spedfications. Mr. Lockcuff explained that the maintenance specifications were not completed but would be incorporated into the Tuscawilla Maintenance Program with each project being billed for their portion. Discussion ensued regarding the landscaping along the wall; and correspondence regarding this issue. Mr. Lockcuff advised the Committee that the landscaping should be reviewed following the completion of the project. Committee Member Taylor spoke of the difficulty of seeing oncoming traffic while turning left into the Oak Forrest subdivision at Oak Forest Drive. Mr. Lockcuff said he would research this matter. The Committee discussed wooden poles, metal boxes and traffic lights at the entrances; irrigation; and the wall receiving an "Acid wash" in the future. Mr. Lockcuff distributed a "Draft" letter responding to a Homeowners complaint regarding the landscaping. Committee Member Krebs suggested that the Arborist and correspondence from the County be attached to the response letter. Mr. Lockcuff said, "Okay." Discussion ensued regarding ownership of the wall, construction, and maintenance of the wall. REGULAR D. Change Order. Tape l/Side B Mr. Lockcuff stated, "Next Meeting we will have a little breakdown of the numbers of where you are at, there shouldn't be any surprises." Next, Members of the Committee and Mr. Lockcuffreviewed the wall plans. Discussion. Budget. . Maintenance Specifications. V. REPORTS No Reports were given. VI. ADJOURNM:ENT Committee Member Taylor asked for a Motion to Adjourn. "SO MOVED." MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER MASTERS. SECONDED BY COMMITTEE MEMBER KREBS. DISCUSSION. THE COMMITTEE AGREED TO THE MOTION BY CONSENSUS. MOTION CARRIED.
