CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD
SEPTEMBER 16,1997 - REGULAR MEETING
1. Call to Order. PledJ!e of AlleJ!iance
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 1997, by Chairman
Haines in the Municipal Building (City hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs,
Florida). The Pledge of Allegiance followed.

Page 10, spelling error: minis. Correction: menace. Motion by Lyzen, and seconded by Reilly.
Motion carried to approve the minutes as corrected.
4. Discussion of Closed and Pendinl!: Cases
Reilly asked about the PEl signs in the Highlands. White explained that the Building
Department will not issue a permit; therefore, the signs will need to come down or the case will
be brought to the Code Enforcement Board in October.

Pieper presented the case. No witnesses were present. As of this date, the problem has not been
corrected. White was swom in for testimony, then he circulated photos of the vehicle, and
provided testimony. Discussion.
(Finding of Fact)
Motion: In the case of CEB# 97015195 of the City of Winter Springs, the Code Enforcement
Board has read the complaint filed and the written information prepared by the Code Inspector,
and heard at this meeting the swom testimony of the Code Inspector. Based upon these
proceedings, I move that James P. and Brenda R. Miller of 236 Buttonwood and Transamerica RE
Tax Service-Tape are in violation of Section 20-431 of the Code of the City of Winter Springs, and
that an appropriate Relief Order be issued at this meeting.
Motion by Lyzen. Second by Gray. Vote: Reilly, aye; Clinch, aye; Schneider, aye; Lyzen, aye; Gray,
aye; Haines, aye; Krebs, aye. Motion passed.
(Relief Order)
Motion: In the case ofCEB# 97015195 of the City of Winter Springs, James P. and Brenda R.
Miller and Transamerica RE Tax Service-Tape having been found to be in violation of Section 20-
431 of the Code of this City, I move that James P. and Brenda R. Miller and Transamerica RE
Tax Service-Tape be given (5) five days to come into compliance with regard to this violation. If
compliance is not achieved by that date, a fine of $50.00 will be imposed per day for each
violation until compliance is achieved, as verified by an officer of the city. Furthermore, any and
all future recurrence(s) of this violation after compliance has been achieved will immediately
cause the stated fine to be imposed until compliance is again achieved, as verified by an officer of
the City.
Motion by Krebs. Second by Reilly. Discussion.
(Relief Order)
Amended Motion: In the case of CEB# 97015195 of the City of Winter Springs, James P. and
Brenda R. Miller and Transamerica RE Tax Service-Tape having been found to be in violation of
Section 20-431 of the Code of this City, I move that James P. and Brenda R. Miller and
Transamerica RE Tax Service-Tape be given (5) five days to come into compliance with regard to
this violation. If compliance is not achieved by that date, a fine of $50.00 will be imposed per
day until compliance is achieved, as verified by an officer of the city. Furthermore, any and all

11. Case #97013585. 225 Mockine:bird Lane

White stated that the case was corrected; therefore, will not be presented.
12. Adjournment
Jenkins, the recording secretary, introduced Andrea Lorenzo-Luaces, the new Deputy City
Clerk.
Chairman Haines adjourned the meeting at 7:25 p.m.
