CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD MEETING
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 1985
The Code Enforcement Board Meeting of the City of Winter Springs, Florida was called
to order by Chairman Jay Alpert.

Larry Cerra, present
Ben Kaplan, present
Brian Rush, present
Marianne Cheeseman, present
Al Peiper, present
James Dasher, present
Code Inspector, Barry Cook, present
Code Prosecutor Charles Sexton, present
Approval of minutes of October 8, 1985:
Motion was made by Mr. Kaplan, seconded by Mr. Peiper to approve the minutes of
October 8, 1985. Discussion. Vote: all aye; motion carried.
Discussion of closed and pending cases - discussed.
Vernon A. Pitt - Sec. 5-122:
Mr. Pitt was present with his Attorney, Stephanie Zorie. She asked for the case
to be continued in order to have a court reporter present.
Motion was made by Mr. Dasher to table the case until the Special Meeting to be
called in the month of December. Seconded by Mr. Cerra. Discussion. Vote on the
motion: All aye except for Marianne Cheeseman who voted no and Jay Alpert abstained;
motion carried.
Ronald Nutt - Sec. 7-1:
Mr. Ronald Nutt was not present. He is the owner of the property on the corner of
Sherry Avenue and S. R. 434. Officer Cook was sworn in by the City Clerk in order
to give testimony.
Motion was made by Mr. Dasher that Ronald Nutt be found in violation of Section 7-1
pertaining to littering. Seconded by Mr. Peiper. Discussion. Vote on the motion:
Mr. Dasher, aye; Mr. Peiper, aye; Mr. Kaplan, aye; Mr. Alpert, aye; Mr. Cerra, aye;
Mrs.Cheeseman, aye; Mr. Rush, aye; motion carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Kaplan that Mr. Nutt be given 30 days to clear up this
situation that he is charged in violation of, and not having accomplished that within
30 days, he should be charged $50.00 per day until it is cleared up.
Motion was amended by Mr. Peiper to change to $25.00 per day. Seconded by Mr. Dasher.
Discussion. Vote on motion as amended: Mr. Peiper, aye; Mr. Kaplan, aye; Mr. Alpert,
aye; Mr. Cerra, aye;Mrs. Cheeseman, aye; Mr. Rush, no; motion carried.
Meeting was adjourned 7:35 p. m.
