HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985 02 26 Code Enforcement Board Regular Minutes , SPECIAL MEETING CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD TUESDAY, FEB. 26, 1985 The Special Meeting of the Code Enforcement Board was called to order by Chairman Jay Alpert. Roll Call: Jay Alpert, present Phil Kulbes, absent Ben Kaplan, present Thomas Dougherty, present Marianne Cheeseman, absent Mike DePasquale, present James Dasher, present Code Inspector Barry Cook present Code Prosecutor Bob Butler, present Update on Maiuri and Ward Cases: Officer Cook reported on the Maiuri and Ward Cases. They have not seen any evidence of goats on the property and recommend that the cases be closed. Case: Sam Jacobson - Violation Sec. 5-l23(d) and Sec. 5-126: Officer Cook presented the complaint, which was that a fence was constructed at 545 Julie Lane, Winter Springs, that exceeds 8 feet in height and is not ventilated. Mr. Sam Jacobson, and his attorney Mike Jones were both present. The Code Prosecutor withdrew the charge of ventilation as Mr. Jacobson agreed to ventilate the wall. Findings of Fact: Motion was made by Mr. Dasher that Mr. Jacobson's wall is in excess of 8 feet in height and violates Sec. 5-126. Seconded by Mr. Dougherty. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Mr. Kaplan, aye; Mr. Dougherty, aye; Mr. Dasher, aye; Mr. DePasquale, no; Mr. Alpert, no; motion carried. The Chairman read the letter from the City Attorney, dated Feb. 26, 1985, which is attached to the minutes. Motion was made by Mr. Dougherty to withhold an Order of the Board until March 19, 1985. Seconded by Mr. Dasher. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Mr. Dasher, aye; Mr. DePasquale, aye; Mr. Alpert, aye; Mr. Kaplan, aye; Mr. Dougherty, aye; motion carried. Meeting was adjourned 8:35 p. m.
