Post Office Box 180132 Casselberry, Florida 32718-0132 February 7, 1991 Carl Stephens, Chairman B.O.W.S. Committee c/o City of Winter Springs 1126 East State Road 434 Winter Springs, Florida 32708 Dear Mr. Stephens: We the officers of the North Orlando Terrace Homeowners Association would like to reiterate our concerns which we brought forth on September 12, 1990 at the B.O.W.S. Committee Meeting located in the Conference Room at City Hall. ~ Attached is a copy of our request. We submit to you that our neighborhood is declining in appearance and is very much a concern to our fellow members. Please give our request serious consideration, as this would also benefit Winter Springs by making this area more appealing to future potential residents, looking for a good town to relocate their families to. Our Homeowners Association is a volunteer group and we are at a standstill in improving the appearance of our neighborhood. We need your assistance in improving the city owned common grounds and islands. Our goals are the same as the original goals of your committee. We look forward to hearing from you. . Sincerely, MM~ Carol Morrison President North Orlando Terrace Homeowners Association cc: City Manager All resldent(homeowners and tenanta) are welcome aa membersl The Homeowners Asaoc.ls dedicated to raising property valuea and atlmulatlng pride within our neighborhood! FLORIDA 32718-0132 October 3, 1990 B.O.W.S. Committee P.O. Box 4016 Winter Springs, FL 32708 Committee Persons: North Orlando Terrace Homeowners' request the B.O.W.S. Committee to supply funding and/or materials requested at our meeting held last month, for the beautification of the neighborhood. This would be in line with the goals of the B.O.W.S. Committee which is, "to beautify Winter Springs". We petition for the following: . 1. Public utilities to work on the existing sprinkler system located in the island at Murphy Rd. and Moss Rd., so the landscape can be watered on the appropriate days. 2. To ask Florida Power to relocate or add a security light and pole to the East end of the above mentioned island and the B.O.W.S. Committee to furnish the low maintenance cost for this light. 3. Replace dead trees located in the islands on Edgemon Ave., North of Alderwood with two trees approximately 12 feet tall. 4. Provide flowering plants, shrubs and required soil preparation for the three islands - Edgemon & Alderwood, Murphy & Moss, and Murphy & Cypress Place. (Reference the attached photos) 5. Two small signs to be manufactured, purchased and installed; one for the island at Edgemon & Alderwood, and one for Murphy Rd. as you enter the neighborhood from the Sugar Creek subdivision. The Association has already spent money on improving the neighborhood and feels that the City should do their share in this endeavor. Is this not the purpose of the B.O.W.S. Committee? . The estimated cost to the B.O.W.S. Committee is a small amount of $1,400.00. What a small price to pay for a beautiful city! ,.. . et ~U.~- l' .J .
