Coordinator Approval of Minutes of .Julv 9, 1987: Kessler moved to approve the minutes of .July 9, 1987. Seconded by Reid. Vote: All aye. M:>tion carried. Chairman Greene moved to add to the agenda the appointment of a Vice-Chairman to fill the vacancy of Leanne Grove who was elected Mayor in the Municipal Election of November 1987. Seconded by Reid. Vote on the addition to the agenda: All aye. Kessler moved to naninate Reid for Vice-Chairman. Seconded by Girda. Vote: All aye. M:>tion carried. Request of S. Piloian and R. Letsinger for a Variance to Section 44.57 (10) of the City Code to Allow the Sale of Products Which are Produced Off Premises. on Property Zoned R-U, Rural Urban IMelling District, Located Approximately 1,700' East of State Road 434/419 Intersection: LeBlanc gave his presentation. He stated that the Staff reviewed this project on Tuesday, April 19, 1988, and approved it with the stipulations that the developer get DOT approval for a road cut and permission from the Board of Health. He stated that Mr. Letsinger is present to answer any questions. Greene asked if this Board allCMS this variance, does this allow a Farmers Market on this property. LeBlanc stated no, this property is leased only to Mr. Letsinger, and no other person can sell on the premises. LeBlanc stated that this variance is only for Mr. Letsinger and when the lease runs out and if saneone else wants to sell produce on this property they would need to get a variance to sell. He stated that this variance is only for Mr. Letsinger. There was question on the request. Mr Letsinger stated that he is fanning the land and would like to sell other items that is not farmed there. Letsinger stated that the main product that is farmed there is cucumbers, and it would not be feasible to only sell one item. Reid asked if it was strictly produce that will be sold on this property. Letsinger stated that yes strictly produce and the other side of the road is where he would ship out the produce that he is fanning on the property. - .. {,. Letsinger stated that there is a building on the property that he is going to clean up and use it as it is. He stated that if he would fix up the building the Health Department would require rest roans, a septic tank etc. He stated that this is a temporary building and will only be used to sell the produce out of. Reid moved to approve the request for a variance by this applicant on this property to sell produce not necessarily grown on the premises for the term of the lease or any extension there of and just for the sale of produce. Seconded by Kessler. Vote: Donnelly: aye; Kessler: aye; Girda: Di!l'f; Greene: aye; Reid: aye. M:>tion carried. Greene asked if there was any other business to cane before this Board. Reid moved that this Board request the City Commission to make the amount of the December checks in the aJOOUnt of $49.00. Seconded by Kessler.
