BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MINUTES
Thursday, January 3, 1985
7:00 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Board of Adjustment was called to order by Chairman Holz.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Chairman Holz.
ROLL CALL:
Ted Holz, Chairman ,present
Harry Reid, Vice-Chairman, present
Louise Poole, present
Richard Kessler, present
Gil Artman, present
CITY OFFICIALS:
Peter Cowell, City Planner
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF DECEMBER 4s 1984
Kessler moved to approve minutes as submitted. Reid second. Voce: All aye.
Minutes approved as submitted.
ASHLEY SQUARE POND CONDITIONAL USE REQUEST
City Planner presentation. Discussion. Terry Zaudtke, Engineer with Conklin Porter and
Hommes, City's enganeer consultants came forward and answered questions from the board.
J. R. Ball, Lochrane Engineering, came forward to make his presentation and answer questions
from the board. Mr. Ball was representing the applicant, Richard Hillebrand.
Thomas Lochrane, Engineer, Pres~dent of Lochrane Engineerigg came forward to answer questions.
The following residents came forward and spoke in opposition to this request.
Dick McGuire, 380 E. Panama Rd.;
Kessler moved to grant conditional use as stated in the application from the applicant.
Poole second. Discussion. Vote: Kessler, aye; Poole, aye; Reid, nay; Artman, aye.
Holz, -aye. Motion carries.
BILLY McNAIR VARIANCE REQUEST
City Planner presentation. Billy McNair, owns lot at 24 Morton Lane, came forward and
made his presentation. Discussion. The following residents came forward to speak in
opposition of the request. Don Anderson, 665 Williams Rd.; Gary Cooley, 645 Williams Rd.;
Howard Bowen, 22 Morton Lane; Norma Anderson, 665 Williams Rd.;
Kessler moved to grant exception as applicant has applied for it, granting the exception
of 3 feet variance. Motion dies for lack of second. Discussion.
Gary Cooley, 645 Williams Rd. came forward again to state his opposition.
Kessler moved to grant exception as applicant has applied for it, granting the exception
of 3 feet variance. Reid second. Vote: Kessler, aye; Reid, aye; Poole, nay; Artman, nay;
Holz, nay. Motion fails.
Meeting adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
