HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979 07 16 Board of Adjustment Regular Minutes BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING JULY 16, 1979 The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Frank Bracht. Roll Call: Frank Bracht, present Maurice Brown, present Jacqueline Palmer, present Carrie Weaver, absent Jim Samiljan, absent Chairman Bracht reported that Mr. Samiljan would like to resign from the Board due to the illness of his wife. Approval of the minutes of June 7, 1979 was deferred until the next meeting. First request was for a Special Exception for Mr. Ed Pullen, 260 Buttonwood Avenue to park a step van (Jewel Tea Truck) on his property. Mr. Pullen, Mr. Daryl Pruitt, 258 Buttonwood Avenue, Mr. Ed Schierho1zer, 257 Buttonwood Avenue, Mr. Richard Bargamian, 264 Buttonwood Avenue, and Mr. Lonnie Miller, 262 Buttonwood Avenue all spoke for the request. No one spoke against the request. Motion was made by Maurice Brown to grant Mr. Ed Pullen a two month temporary permit to find a place to park his truck. Seconded by Jacqueline Palmer. Discussion. Motion was made by Frank Bracht to grant a 90 day Special Exception until he can find some other place to park his vehicle. Seconded by Maurice Brown. Discussion. Vote: Maurice Brown, aye; Frank Bracht, aye; Jacqueline Palmer, no. Mr. Pullen was granted a Special Exception for 90 days. Second request was for Mr. Robert Richardson, 129 N. Alderwood Avenue to park his truck in his driveway over night. His truck was a house trailer-tower, 15 feet long, 2 ton truck. Motion was made by Maurice Brown to grant a 90 day (Special Exception) temporary permit to find another location to park his truck. Seconded by Jacqueline Palmer. Vote: Maurice Brown, aye; Jacqueline Palmer, aye; Frank Bracht, aye; motion carried. The third request for Special Exception was to allow for an exception to the corner lot set back line rule so that Maronda Homes may construct a dwelling 20 feet (side street) from Bahama Road. Legal description Lot 13, Block F, Foxmoor Unit 1. Mr. Sam Katanich was present to speak for the request. Discussion by the Board. Motion was made by Maurice Brown that we grant the five foot special exception. Seconded by Jacqueline Palmer. Vote: Maurice Brown, aye; Frank Bracht, aye; Jacqueline Palmer, aye; motion carried.
