HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977 10 21 Board of Adjustment Regular Minutes I- . . e -, e ~ BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS OCTOBER 21, 1977 The meeting \Vas called to order by Chairman, Larry Pellerin, at 7:00 p.m. Roll Call: Larry Pellerin, Chairman, present Thomas Craven, present Carrie Weaver, present Steve Lind, late \Hlliam Daucher, present Motion was made by William Daucher to approve the minutes of September 27, 1977 with an amendment by Tom Craven to the last motion as follows: Tom Craven voted no qualified-Chap. 14, Art. 1, Sec. 14.3. Seconded by Carrie Weaver. Motion carried. First order of business was a request for variation for a back yard set back to allow O,vner to build a screen room enclosure. (Art. IV, Sect. 44.30 (4)(1) (b) pp.968.2 applies). Requested by Mr. Phillips, 424 N. Hawthorne, Winter Springs, Florida. Discussion. Motion was made by Tom Craven that the variance be granted. Seconded by Steve Lind. Motion carried. Item II; Variation for yard setbacks to build home on odd lot. (Art.IV, Sect. 44.30 (4)(1)(a & B), pp. 968.2 applies). Requested by Belmont Homes Inc., 450 E. Seminole Blvd., Casselberry, Fl. Mr. James Carder, President of Belmont Homes was present to speak for the request. Motion by Bill Daucher that we table this item until a public hearing is set up. Seconded by Steve Lind. Motion carried. Mr. Tom Craven refrained from voting due to his association with the Builder. No action was taken on the request of Mr. F. R. Bracht, 218 Wade St., Winter Springs for variation to locate business in private home. (Art. VII Sec.44.47 and Sec. 44.24 (27) applies. pp. 957 and pp.974). Mr. Bracht did not appear. Item IV: Variation request to extend the continuance of the present variance to operate a sales office located in Hacienda Village by present O\Vllers. (previous variance granted for one year and expires in October 1977). Sec. Art. VII, Sec. 44.47 r refers, pp.974. Mr. Mark Washlager was present to speak for the variance. Mr. Washlager was asking for an extension of the variance to allow the mobile home office on the commercial property. Discussion. Motion was made by Tom Craven to grant a variance to Hacienda Village for six months and at the end of that time to come back before the board. Seconded by Steve Lind. Motion carried.
