SPECIAL SESSION
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS
JUNE 27, 1975
The Special Session of the Board of Adjustment, City of Winter Springs was called
to order by Chairman Bob Williams at 7:30 p.m., with members Carl Mitchell and Bob
Melton present.
Minutes from the regular session of June 27, 1975 were approved as written.
The first order of business was a discussion on Mr. Cole's request for a variance
to City Ordinance chapter 16, Article lV, Section 44.33. The city engineer, Mr. Ray
Bradshaw advised the committee that the improvement to Mr. Cole's home would be in
violation of the city ordinance; however, he believed Mr. Cole's neighbor's home was set
far enough back from Mr. Cole's home that there would be no problems.
Motion was made by Bob Melton to accept Mr. Cole's request for a variance. The
motion was seconded by Bob Williams, and after further discussion the vote carried for
the acceptance of the variance with Bob Melton and Bob Williams voting for and Carl
Mitchell voting against.
The second order of business was on Mr. MCKeever's request for a possible requirement
for a variance to city ordinance, Chapter 5, Article V1l1, section 5-127. Bob Williams
informed the board members of his discussion with Mr. Bradshaw on the need for this
~ariance. It was determined that the requirement existed for the variance, and Bob
Williams will so inform Mr. McKeever on the proper procedures.
The next order of business was a request for a variance by the 7th Day Adventist
Church for a possible variance to the City Ordinance. The Assistant Minister was present
for the disscussion and the information was made available to him as to the Church's
responsibilities for the request for a variance.
There being no further business the meeting was adjouraned at 9:30 p.m.
