Th Public Hearing before the Board of Acjustment (The Village CounclI' was calIed to or~cr at 8:13 P.M. by Mayor Clifford Jordan. A Pledge of Allegiance was made to the Flag. Roll Call: Mayor, Clifford Jordan Vice-Mayor, Charles Rowell Attorney, Tom Freeman Councilmen: Granville Brown Allen Cronk Julian Keller David Tilson Representatives from the Zoning Board: Yw. Charles Kelley, Chairman of the Board. Mr. Floyd Green Letters were read from Tomlin Realty asking for a variance in Re-Plat Sheet 2, North Orlando Townsites, 4th Addition. A letter of recommendation for the variance from the Zoning Board. Exerpts from the minutes of March 3rd, regarding this variance, were reaa. Also, an ad from the Sanford Herald, announcing the public hearing, was read. e Mr. Freeman, Village Attorney, explained that a variance would be for a single lot and not for 193 lots, as proposed. The legal way would be to amend tbe Zoning Ordinance. However, the Zoning Ordinance has been compiled to the best interest of t'he Village ane said Ordinance was passed by the Village Council. It should not have to be changed to satisfy each individual who wis'hes to m.ake a chlA!se. Mr. Bnown said that S'3ctlon 1~4.14 of the Zoning Ordinance would cover any changes to be mane. Discussion was held, both pro and con. Mr Variance. Council. a Resolution b rown and unanimously approved by Mr. Jordan stated that the sale of the land would not consumato if' a variance Has not granted. The Zoning Boara will meet Thursday, March 27th to decide what recommendations they will give and they will have a Public Hearing before it is returnea to the Council. The Council will, then have to have another Public Hearing. Motion was made by Mr. Tilson and seconded by Mr. Cronk to adjourn at 9:25 P.M. Unanimously approved by Council. .
