This new program, which will leverage the resources of numerous organizations in the community, will provide both improved housing opportunities and educational options for our hardest to serve youth. The program will target court-involved youth who currently attend school at the Seminole County Sheriffs Division Of Juvenile Crime Enforcement & Intervention Intensive Community Supervision Unit. The students will build homes for Habitat for Humanity and Golden Rule Housing and also make renovations and repairs for low- income homeowners. Upon completion of the program, private construction companies have agreed to offer apprenticeships or employment to participants. The Sanford/Seminole County Y outhBuild Program benefits not only the individuals involved but also the community as a whole. I fully support this endeavor and would appreciate your favorable consideration of the application. Sincerely, CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS John F.
