HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2006-48-A Personel Rules RESOLUTION NUMBER 2006-48 A A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 48.3 OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS PERSONNEL RULES MAXIMIZING THE CITY'S CAP ACITY TO QUALIFY FOR GRANTS AND REINBURSEMENTS FROM OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES, PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS, AND OTHER SOURCES OF FINANCIAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS. WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs desires to maximize its ability to qualify for financial disaster assistance, and provide its exempt employees reasonable and fair pay for their services; and WHEREAS, Section 48.3 of the City's Personnel Rules as written disqualifies the City from certain sources of financial disaster assistance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, that the City's Personnel Rules are amended as follows. Section 1: Declared Emergencies When a state of emergency has been declared by the City of Winter Springs requiring the overtime services of exempt city employees, salaries of exempt employees will be converted to an hourly wage rate based upon 2,080 hours per year. Section 2: Conflicts All prior Resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed. This Resolution shall supersede all conflicting policies not adopted by Ordinance.
