PURPOSE: This Agenda Item is being submitted to the City Commission for approval for Jan Palladino to be presented with a Resolution in honor of her 20 years of service to the City. CONSIDERATIONS: Office of the City Manager employee Jan Palladino's last day of work is Apri13, 2009. Resolution Number 2009-20 is being submitted during the Consent Agenda of this Meeting for your Approval. Then, during the Awards and Presentations portion of the March 23, 2009 Meeting, I would like to present this Resolution 2009-20 to Jan Palladino in honor of her 20 years of service to the City of Winter Springs. ATTACHMENT A. Resolution 2009-20 RECOMMENDA'T'ION: It is recommended that the City Commission approve Resolution 2009-20 for Jan Palladino in honor of her 20 years of service to the City of Winter Springs. COMMISSION ACTION: ~~SOLUTION NU1VI$~~ X009-~0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING JANICE "JAN" PALLADINO FOR HER 20 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS; AND EXPRESSING OUR APPRECIATION ON BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Y~HEREAS, JANICE "JAN" PALLADINO has provided the residents of Winter Springs with 20 years of dedicated and distinguished service working for the Winter Springs Police Department and also the Office of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, JANICE "JAN" PALLADINO joined the Winter Springs Police Department in the position of Receptionist/Records Clerk on March 30, 1989; then served as Assistant Computer Systems Manager beginning on April 1, 1991; and then on June 2, 1994, transferred to the Office of the City Manager as the Secretary to the City Manager, and has served in that capacity since; and WHEREAS, JANICE "JAN" PALLADINO became the "voice of the City Manager's office" as a result of her conversations with the many residents and others she has proudly assisted over the past 15 years. NOW THEREFORE ~E IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, as follows: SECTION I -`t'hat the Mayor and Commission, City Manager, and Staff of the City of Winter Springs takes great pleasure to recognize and honor JANICE "JAN" PALLADINO, for her contributions and long-time service to the residents of Winter Springs through her employment in the Winter Springs Police Department and the Office of the City Manager. SECTION II -That this Resolution commending the services of JANICE "JAN" PALLADINO be recorded upon the official Public Records and Minutes of this City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida.
