REQUEST: The Fire Department requests that the City Commission review The City of
Winter Springs Employee Blood Drive information to be held at City Hall.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is to assure that the City Commission is informed of all
the pertinent details regarding this activity.
CONSIDERA nONS:
CJ The donation of blood helps to assure an adequate and safe supply of blood and
blood products to the community.
· The employees of the City of Winter Springs have for over 15 years maintained a
blood reserve account with the Central Florida Blood Bank. Each time the
bloodmobile has scheduled a visit to the City, over 25 pints of blood have been
collected.
· Employees are encouraged to donate blood and are given the opportunity to
donate during their work day.
Ql Other interested individuals may also donate blood during this scheduled time, and
no one will be turned away.
Ql The goal for this drive has been set for 75 donors.
FUNDING:
No additional funding is required for this activity.

IMPLEMENTA nON SCHEDULE:
The Bloodmobile will be located behind City Hall from 7:00 AM till 3:00 PM on Friday,
April 19, 1996.

schedule your
donation time
through your
Department
Supervisor.
You are encouraged to take time out of your day to donate blood for a worthy
cause. The donation of blood only takes a few minutes and is satisfying to
know that YOU may save a life. A goal of 75 donors has been set by the City
Management Team, please join with them to make this goal a reality. If further
information is needed Please don't hesitate to contact your Department Head
or Fire Chief Tim Lallathin at 327-2332.
