RESOLUTION NO. 2003-43
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING
THE FEES TO BE P AID BY INDIVIDUALS OR
ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE CIVIC CENTER
LOCATED AT SUNSHINE PARK; PROVIDING FOR
REPEAL OF PRIOR INCONSISTENT RESOLUTIONS,
SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, has found it
necessary to periodically review and establish fee schedules pertaining to activities and use of
facilities within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests ofthe health, safety,
and welfare ofthe citizens of Winter Springs to implement a fee schedule for use ofthe Civic Center
located at Sunshine Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. The foregoing recitals are hereby fully incorporated herein by this reference
and are deemed a material part of this Resolution.
Section 2. Fee Schedule. Any person or entity that desires to use the Civic Center at Sunshine
Park shall be required to pay a rental charge and deposit as follows:
(a) Civic Center Rental Charges and Deposits:
(1) $60.00 per hour or $350.00 per 8-hour rental period, including set-uplbreak-
down time.
(2) All rentals shall be subject to a 2-hour minimum rental period and $200.00
deposit. The deposit shall be paid prior to the rental period.
(3) If a rental reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance of the rental
period, half of the deposit ($100.00) shall be refunded.
(b) The rental charges and deposits required by this Resolution do not apply to those
organizations that have entered into Recreational Program Agreements with the City.
Those agreements already provide for financial compensation to the City for use of
the Civic Center at Sunshine Park.

Section 3. Repeal of Prior Inconsistent Resolutions. All prior resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict.
Section 4. Severability. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, word, or portion
of this resolution is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereto.
Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption
by the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida.
