A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA,
PROVIDING FOR CONFIDENTIALITY IN DEALING
WITH ALL MATTERS INVOLVING POTENTIAL OR
CURRENT LITIGATION; SEVERABILITY
AND EFFECTIVE DATE:
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Winter Springs, Florida, has determined
it take in the best interest of its citizens health, safety and welfare, to provide for security
of information when dealing with potential or current litigation.
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS,
FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. All members of the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, the City manager
and all City Employees, when dealing with threatened or actual litigation shall provide no
information regarding anything to do with the pending or actual litigation unless prior approval
for the release of said information has been obtained either from the City Manager, City Attorney,
and/or attorney handling the litigation issue.
2. That the passage of this resolution is not intended to conflict with or be restrictive of the
Florida Public Records law but will be implemented by the City in compliance with said law.
3. That this resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
