AMENDED RESOLUTION NO. 709
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA,
REQUESTING THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
NAME THE HIGH SCHOOL TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN WINTER SPRINGS,
FLORIDA - WINTER SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL.
WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs is desirous of assuring that
the new high school in Winter Springs is best named to assure community pride
and recognition; and
WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs understands that school attendance
zones do not conform to jurisdictional boundaries and that students who live
within the city limits of Winter Springs mayor may not attend said new high
school;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs,
Florida hereby requests the School Board of Seminole County, Florida, name the
new high school to be built in Winter Springs, Florida - Winter Springs High
School.
Passed and adopted this 13th day of September, 1993.
