HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 669 John E.Polk Day RESOLUTION NO. 669 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING JUNE 26, 1991 AS SHERIFF JOHN E. POLK DAY IN THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA; EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO THE FAMILY OF JOHN E. POLK; CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS the City Commission for the City of Winter Springs, Florida, on behalf of the public of the City of Winter Springs wish to place in the memory of John E. Polk and for the outstanding and meritorius law enforce- ment service provided by John E. Polk to the citizens of Seminole County and the citizens of Winter Springs, Florida; WHEREAS the City Commission for the City of Winter Springs, Florida desires to express its appreciation to the family of Sheriff John E. Polk for their sacrifice and support of Sheriff Polk's commitment to Law Enforcement in and for the people of Seminole County and Winter Springs, Florida NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESERVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I - That June 25, 1991 is hereby designated JOHN E. POLK DAY in Winter Springs, Florida in honor of John E. Polk. SECTION II - All resolutions or parts thereon conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III - This resolution shall take immediate effect upon its passage and approval. Passed and adopted this 24th day of June, 1991. CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS PHILLIP A.
