HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 646 Post Office RESOLUTION NO. 646 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE UNITED STATES POSTAL AUTHORITIES TO RETAIN THE CONTRACT POST OFFICE IN WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA; CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, has recognized certain needs in the community which relate to the safety, welfare and convenience of its citizens, and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, finds that the Contract Post Office which is located in the Winter Springs Center serves many of the residents of the City and the surrounding municipalities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA: SECTION I: That this Resolution be adopted to express the desire of the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, on behalf of its citizens to retain the contract post office, located in the western section of the City of Winter Springs for the safety, welfare and convenience of its residents and patrons. SECTION II: That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Postal Authorities with the request to retain the Contract Post Office for the residents of the City of Winter Springs and surrounding municipalities. SECTION III: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV: This resolution shall take immediate effect upon its final passage and approval.
