HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 466 Railroad Crossing RESOLUTION NO. 466 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE FLORIDA STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO APPROVE RAILROAD GRADE CROSSING APPLICATIONS FOR VISTAWILLA DRIVE AND TUSCORA DRIVE; CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS growth and traffic have significantly increased in the Tuscawilla Planned Unit Development area south of State Road 419; and WHEREAS the only ingress-egress to the Tuscawilla Planned Unit Development is located off Tuscawilla Road at Dysen Drive, Winter Springs Boulevard and Trotwood Drive, and WHEREAS the City has been petitioned by the developer to apply for said two railroad grade crossings to relieve traffic and congestion and proceed with the orderly planned development of the Tuscawilla Planned Unit Development. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS THAT: SECTION I - The City on behalf of the citizens of this jurisdiction who reside in and utilize roadways in and adjacent to the Tuscawilla Planned Unit Development, hereby petition the Florida State Department of Transportation to approve said two railroad grade crossing applications. SECTION II - This Resolution shall remain in force and effect until supplemented, amended, repealed or otherwise altered. SECTION III: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed. Passed and adopted this 11th day of December, 1984. CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA JOHN V.
