HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 433 Rezoning RESOLUTION NO. 433 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, OPPOSING THE REZONING OF CERTAIN LANDS FROM A-1 AGRICULTURE TO R-1AA SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Seminole County Board of County Commissioners has authorized scheduling a public hearing to rezone from A-1 Agriculture to R-1AA Single Family Dwelling District, property located on the east side of Tuscawilla Road, north of Dyson Drive, 40 acres, and WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs, Florida, opposes the proposed rezoning because the zoning will not be compatible with the existing area, and WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs wants to go on record as opposing this rezoning proposal. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA: SECTION I - That the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, hereby expresses its opposition to the proposed rezoning from A-I Agriculture to R-lAA Single Family Dwelling District on property located on the east side of Tuscawilla Road, north of Dyson Drive, 40 acres. SECTION II - That the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, hereby urges the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners and the Seminole County Planning and Zoning Board to oppose this rezoning proposal. SECTION III - That the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs would be acceptable to R-lAAA zoning. SECTION IV - That a copy of this resolution be sent to the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners and the Planning and Zoning Board of Seminole County. SECTION V - This resolution shall remain in fo~ce until supplemented, amended, repealed or otherwise altered. SECTION VI - All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION VII - This resolution shall take immediate effect upon its passage and approval.
