HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 425 Moratorium Gas Stations RESOLUTION NO. 425 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, LIFTING THE EIGHTEEN MONTH MORATORIUM ON THE RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS FOR REVIEW OF A SITE PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF LAND UPON WHICH A FULL SERVICE GAS STATION WITH MECHANICAL SERVICE WILL BE BUILT, OR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR THE CONSTRUC~ION OF SUCH A FULL SERVICE GAS STATION; SEVERABILITY; CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission resolved in Resolution No. 417 on June 14, 1983 to impose an eighteen month moratorium on the receipt of applications for review of site plans for convenience stores or gas stations, and WHEREAS, the City Commission has recognized a need for service stations or gas stations which can provide mechanical repair services for the residents of Winter Springs, and WHEREAS, the City Commission is still concerned over the number of applications for convenience stores and gas stations with incorporated con- venience or food stores and wishes to continue the moratorium as to these facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, THAT: SECTION I - The moratorium imposed by Resolution No. 417 is lifted and amended as to FULL SERVICE GAS STATIONS - providing mechanical repair service. SECTION II - The moratorium imposed by Resolution No. 417 is to continue in effect as amended by this Resolution. SECTION III - This Resolution and incorporated amendment shall be effective upon passage. PASSED and ADOPTED this 27th day of September, 1983. CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA JOHN V.
