ORDINANCE NO. 448
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN IN ACCORDANCE WITH FLORIDA
STATUTE 163.3187; PROVIDING FOR THE RECLASSIFICATION OF
PROPERTY TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ON THE ADOPTED LAND USE MAP;
PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF THE PROPERTY TO C-2 ON THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP; SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the owner of the property described below, Lords Company
of Orlando, Inc. , has petitioned the City of Winter Springs, Florida, to
reclassify the land use of the property to Light Industrial and to rezone
the property to C-2, General Commercial and Industrial:
The South 200 ft. of Lot 7, Block B, Johnson IS Poultry
Farms, Plat Book 6, Page 8, Public Records of Seminole
County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs, Florida, has considered the
assignment of the Light Industrial land use classification for the said
property on the Land Use Map of the City in accordance with Florida Statute
163.3187 and has determined that the reclassification of the property on the
Land Use Map to Light Industrial is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan
of the City of Winter Springs, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the rezoning of
the property to C-2 General Commercial and Industrial on the Official Zoning
Map is in the interest of the City of Winter Springs, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION I - The Comprehensive Plan of the City of Winter Springs,
Florida, is hereby amended to reclassify the property described below to
Light Industrial on the Adopted Land Use Map:
The South 200 ft. of Lot 7, Block B, Johnson's Poultry
Farms, Plat Book 6, Page 8, Public Records of Seminole
County, Florida.
SECTION II - The property is hereby rezoned to C-2 General
Commercial and Industrial and shall be so specified on the Official Zoning
Map of the City.
SECTION III - If any section or portion of this Ordinance proves to
be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate
or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or portion of a
section or sub-section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION IV - All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewi th are hereby repealed.

Public comment is solicited regarding a proposed amendment to the Winter Springs
Adopted Land Use Map, an Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan. Persons who
appear at this Public Hearing will be heard orally. Written comments may be filed
with the City Clerk, 1126 East S.R. 434, and will be entered into the public record.
Questions regarding the proposed amendment may be directed to the Comprehensive
Planning Office at 327-1800. The site of the request is indicated on the map and is
further described below.
