HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 155 Building Fund Account CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA RESOLUTION NO. 155 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE BUILDING FUND ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO OBTAIN MATCHING FUNDS FROM THE STATE BICENTEN- NIAL COMMTTEE IN ORDER TO BEGIN THE COMMUNITY BUILDING AND PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Winter Springs, Florida, has recognized the urgent need to institute a Community Building and Park Improvement Project in order to provide a meeting place for various civic and youth organizations, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winter Springs, Florida, has previously resolved to participate in celebrating our nation's 200th birthday by establishing the Winter Springs Bicentennial Committee, and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of obtaining matching funds from the State Bicentennial Committee in order to assist in the implementation of the Community Building and Park Improvement Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Winter Springs, Florida, in an effort to obtain matching funds from the State Bicentennial Committee in the amount of Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy-Five Dollars ($19,875.00) would, appropriately, allocate $19,875,00 from its Building Fund Account for the Community Building and Park Improvement Project sponsored by the Winter Springs Bicentennial Committee provided the aforesaid Project receives approval and funding by the State Bicentennial Committee. Hendrix As the City Council of the City of Winter Springs, Florida Motion Move that the City Council approve the tentative allocation of $19,875.00 from the Building Fund account to match State Bicentennial Commission funding $19,875.00) of the Community Building and Park Improvement Project sponsored by the Winter Springs Bicentennial Committee, provided the project _______approval and funding at state level. Further that the Attorney be instructed to prepare a resolution to the effect thta the city does support this project and that the City council has expressed its intent to guarantee matching (50%-50%) funds up to $19875.00 for any funds allocated for this project by the State Bicentennial Commission. Copies of this resolution to be provided to the State and County Bicentennial Commissions. Resolution File in Building Fund
