ORDINANCE NO. 383
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 2-35 QUALIFYING FEES OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO REQUIRE ALL CANDIDATES FOR CITY COMMISSIONERS
AND MAYOR, QUALIFYING AS PROVIDED IN THIS CODE TO PAY A
QUALIFYING FEE OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00);
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Winter Springs,
Florida, has determined it to be in the best interest of the citizens
of the City of Winter Springs to increase the qualifying fee of all
candidates for city commission and mayor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA:
SECTION I - That Section 2-35 Qualifying fees of the Code of
Ordinances be amended as follows:
All candidates for city commission and mayor, qualifying as
provided in this code, shall pay a qualifying fee of one hundred fifty
dollars ($150.00). The qualifying fee shall be paid to the city clerk
and be paid by the clerk into the general fund of the City.
SECTION II - If any section or portion of this Ordinance proves to
be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate
or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or portion of
a section or sub-section or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION III - All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and adoption.
Passed and adopted this 13th day of July, 1987.

Florida for a period of one year next preceding the first publication of the attached copy of ad-
vertisement; and affiant further says that he/she has neither paid nor promised any person,
firm or corporation any discount, rebate, commission or refund for the purpose of securing this
