ORDINANCE NO. 115
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO.
112, PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO EXCEPT
THEREFROM, IN ADDITION TO THOSE EMPLOYEES OR
OFFICIALS EXCLUDED BY LAW, THOSE EMPLOYEES OR
OFFICIALS WHO RENDER SERVICES AS ELECTED OFFI-
CIALS, THOSE EMPLOYEES OR OFFICIALS WHO RENDER
SERVICES ON A PART-TIME BASIS AND THOSE EMPLOYEES
OR OFFICIALS WHO RENDER SERVICES FOR WHICH THE
COMPENSATION THEREOF IS ON A FEE BASIS, FROM
THE BENEFITS OF THE SYSTEM OF OLD AGE AND
SURVIVOR'S INSURANCE AS AUTHORIZED BY THE
FEDERAL SOCIAL SECURITY ACT AND AMENDMENTS
THERETO, AND BY CHAPTER 650, FLORIDA STATUTES,
AS AMENDED, AND BY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MAYOR
OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS AND THE STATE
AGENCY AUTHORIZED TO ENTER INTO SUCH AGREEMENTS
FOR COVERAGE OF SAID EMPLOYEES AND OFFICIALS;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winter Springs,
Florida, is in favor of extending benefits to certain employees
and officials of said City of Winter Springs, Florida, not
excluded by law, nor hereinafter excepted, the benefits of the
system of Old Age and Survivors Insurance as authorized by the
Federal Social Security Act and amendments thereto, and by
Chapter 650, Florida Statutes, as amended, and to cover by such
plan all services which constitute employment as defined in
Section 650.02, Florida Statutes, performed in the employ of
said City by employees and officials thereof, except for services
rendered by elected officials, or services rendered by part-time
employees, and for services rendered for which the compensation
is on a fee basis, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Winter Springs,
Florida, previously passed Ordinance No. 112, and in Section 1
of said Ordinance did not exclude or except those employees or
officials who render services as elected efficials, render ser-
vices as part-time employees, and render services fer which the
compensation thereof is on a fee basis, and
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage and adoption.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City Council of the
City of Winter Springs, Florida, that said Council will hold
a public hearing at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as pos-
sible, on Monday, March 24, 1975, to consider the adoption of
an ordinance by the City of Winter Springs, Florida, title of
which is as follows:

FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO.
112, PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO EXCEPT
THEREFROM, IN ADDITION TO THOSE EMPLOYEES OR
OFFICIALS EXCLUDED BY ,LAW, THOSE EMPLOYEES OR
OFFICIALS WHO RENDER SERVICES AS ELECTED
OFFICIALS, THOSE EMPLOYEES OR OFFICIALS WHO

THOSE EMPLOYEES OR OFFICIALS WHO RENDER SER-
VICES FOR WHICH THE COMPENSATION THEREOF IS

A copy of said ordinance shall be available at the
Office of the City Clerk of Winter Springs, Florida, for all
persons desiring to examine same.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES are invited to attend and be
heard.
THIS NOTICE is to be published in the EVENING HERALD,
a newspaper of general circulation in said City, ene (1) time
at least 15 days prior to the time of the public hearing.
