AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS,
FLORIDA, INCREASING ALLOWANCE FOR EXPENSES
NATURALLY AND NECESSARILY, INCURRED BY THE
HOLDER OF THE OFFICE OF MAYOR AND BY THE
HOLDERS OF THE OFFICES OF COUNCILMEN OF THE
CITY OF ltJINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA; ALLOWING
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($125.00)
PER MONTH FOR THE MAYOR AND FIFTY DOLLARS
($50.00) PER MONTH FOR THE CO'UNCILMEN; RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
SEVERABILITY; AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, .the City Counci 1 of the City ef Winter Springs,
Flerida, has examined the added respensibiliteisef the office
of mayer of the City of Winter Springs, Flerida., and
WHEREAS, it has been established thattheameunt of
II expense money allowed to the Mayor of the City of Winter Springs.

WHEREAS, the City Ceuncil of the City of Winter Springs
Flerida, has examined the added respensibilitiesof the office
ef councilmen of the City ef Winter Springs, Florida, and
WHEREAS, it has been established thattheamountef
the stipend allowed to the Councilmen ef the City of Winter Sprin s,
Flerida, is inadequate; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council of the City of
Winter Springs, Florida, to increase the stipend issued to' the
Councilmen ef the City of Winter Springs, Flerida,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CI.TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, HEREBY ORDAINS '
1) That the Mayer ef the City of Winter Springs,
Flerida, shall be paid the sum ef ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS
($125.00) per month from the Treasurery ef the City of Winter
Springs, Flerida, to cover the expenditures, naturally and
2) That each Councilman of the City of Winter Springs,
Florida, shall be paid the sum of FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00) per
month from the Treasury of the City of Winter Springs, Florida
to cover the expenditures incurred by the holder of the office
of Councilman.
3) That this expense allowance increase for the office
holder of the office of mayor and this stipend increase fer each
councilman shall take effect on January 1, 1974.
4) That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith shall be, and the same are hereby repealed.
5) If any Section or portion of Section or Subsection
of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitu-
tional it shall not beheld to invalidate or impair the validity,
force, or effect of any other Section or portion of a Section or
Subsection or part of this Ordinance.

Review, a newspaper of general cir
ulation in said city, one (1) time at
least 15 days prior to the date of
the public hearing.
